Thompson House: Rehabilitation and Nursing Center - Residential Care in Brattleboro Vermont

A letter to family and friends of Thompson House from our administrator

February 26, 2022

Dear Friends and Families,

Since our last update we’ve tested all facility staff twice, once this past Monday and again on Thursday.

One staff-member tested positive for community spread COVID from Monday’s round of testing. All residents who had contact were fully vaccinated (and required no quarantine precautions), have been tested, and remain negative. Thursday’s round of testing for staff and residents produced all negative results.

As for our residents and staff who have had COVID-19 and since recovered, they are all doing well.

Beyond that – and this is very good news — we’ve nothing to add. We remain cautiously optimistic that we’re seeing a verifiable trend both within Thompson House and in the community at large, but we will continue to monitor residents and staff for signs and symptoms of infection daily.

Lastly, we’ve gotten your cards and notes of thanks and encouragement — and your waves, virtual high-fives and handshakes, too! Please know that all of your kind words and gestures mean more to us than you can imagine and we really can’t thank you enough.

Until next time,

Melissa Osborne, RN, DNS
